Did somebody say torture? (video)

Here we go again.  Another terror attack on a major airline has been thwarted.  The suspect is in U.S. custody, the lives of two hundred eighty-three people saved and the Republicans want the suspect to not be tried in a U.S. Federal Court.  Rather, they would like to see him be tried in a military court.  Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano has been under fire for saying “…the system worked” regarding the incident on Northwest flight 253.  Technically she is correct.  If she was serving in a Republican administration she would be absolutely be correct.

Representative Peter King, Republican from New York, has been critical of the President for not coming out with a statement about this statement early.  (click for video)

How quickly he has forgotten about the incident that happened on an American Airlines flight 63 from Paris to Miami.  Richard Colvin Reid was caught trying to detonate explosives located in his shoe.  The explosives failed, but the passengers acted quickly to apprehend him so he can do no harm.  President Bush did not make a comment on this incident for a total of six days.

So, where were the Democrats crying foul?

That’s right, the Democrats do not play politics when it comes to the safety of the American people!

This Richard Reid incident happened under a Republican administration.  He was tried, plead guilty and is serving a life sentence without parole in a Federal Prison.  He had the same rights afforded anyone in this Country under the fourteenth amendment of The United States Constitution.  The same Constitution that many people on the right want to restore.  Do you remember this one?
We are all entitled to believe what we want, but when an elected official spreads propaganda to the gullible in an electrically charged atmosphere than there should be a price to pay.  Misinformation will be the death of this Country and replacing facts with hyperbole will be the death of us all.
