Mormonism Is A Cult

Religious cults are created by a single individual with a vision to serve as a supreme leader to a subservient class . This was the case at The People’s Temple, in Jim Jones. This was the case with The Branch Davidians, in David Koresh. This is the case with The Church of Scientology, with L. Ron Hubbard. This is the case with The Free Masons, and the Secret Society. And this is the case with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Joseph Smith.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known commonly as the Mormons, was the brain-child of Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith claimed to be a prophet. He created the Book of Mormon after claiming that God told him to look for a set of plates buried in the ground. After he claimed to have translated the words on the plates, the Book was created. A prophet is a person who speaks by divine inspiration (through God).

Here are just some of his prophecies.

In 1830 Smith told his flock that Jesus would return within 56 years–fail

Zion in Missouri The Mormons believed that Missouri was the City of Zion and that land would be purchased for “an everlasting inheritance”–Fail. The Mormons are centrally located in Utah–for the sole fact that they were kicked out of four other States previously.

In 1832 Joseph Smith made the prophecy that New York and Boston will be destroyed if they reject the Gospel. Breaking news: there aren’t 20 million Mormons running around New York and Boston. The Gospel was rejected, and the two cities are still around–fail.

White Horse Prophecy The Unites States Constitution will be destroyed and in threads only to be resurrected by the efforts of the white horse.–fail. It never happened.

In 1843, Joseph Smith made the prophecy that The United States Government would be broken up and overthrown–fail

Also in 1843, Joseph Smith made the prophecy that his unborn son David would be church president and “King of Israel”. His son David was never a member of the Mormon Church.–fail.

There are many more of his Prophecy’s that failed. Although many in the Mormon Church make excuses for how some of his Prophecy’s have not failed, they have admitted that some have. And there’s the problem. The word of God is the truth. When God communicates with a prophet, his words are clear.

It is written in the Bible that false Prophet’s will be punished. Specifically, in Deuteronomy 18:20-22

‘But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’
21 “You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’
22 “When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

Joseph Smith died in 1844. He was attacked and killed by a mob while serving time in jail for ordering the destruction of a newspaper that claimed Smith was practicing polygamy. It is also worth noting that he was the Mayor of Carthage, Illinois and running for President of The United States.

With that said, Mitt Romney is a heartbeat away from winning the highest office in this land. All of this, and the media chose not to cover it. This is a lot more serious than an angry black Pastor. All of this and Mitt Romney is one heartbeat away from the highest office in the land. If he wins than we are all Mormons.
